1-on-1 Executive Coaching*

These sessions are the CEO’s and executives’ time with Johanne to exchange about misunderstandings, communication gaps with the board and direct reports, humbling frustrations and how to more effectively deal with board dynamics, leadership and behavioral challenges. This is an opportunity for the CEO and executives to enhance their ability to relate to the board and/or to their direct reports; for the CEO to relate to the chair and to master the dual role of CEO and board member. Johanne supports her CEO clients through managing their attitudes and composure when confronted with the stress and pressure of leading the executive team. (The same applies to executives.) Having been part of operating committees, having had to prepare for board meetings, and having worked through IPOs and M&As, Johanne understands the demanding deadlines and skills that need to be brought forward to succeed.

Johanne leads these sessions with all types of boards—private, non-profit, or public—and boards of any size. Johanne plans a session with the chair, which she leads to align the board about where they’re united and where they are divided, helping the board move forward with clear priorities. These sessions typically take a minimum of four hours and can be held in the evening.

The focus of these sessions is to align members of the Pivotal Leadership TrioTM on strategy at different stages of the growth of an organization, as well as when there are changes to the composition of the board, within the board, and/or to the executive team.

These powerful sessions are conducted with all board directors and with all or selected members of the executive team to align on strategy and to enhance the dynamics between all members and ameliorate their effectiveness. a) Rencontres individuelles de mentorat pour cadres supérieurs

Ces sessions sont des moments où le président du conseil d’administration et les cadres supérieurs discutent avec Johanne des malentendus, des brèches de communication avec le conseil d’administration et les répondants immédiats, des leçons d’humilité et comment gérer plus adroitement la dynamique du conseil d’administration, la direction et les défis comportementaux. C’est une occasion pour le chef de la direction et les cadres supérieurs d’améliorer leur habileté à communiquer avec le conseil d’administration et les répondants immédiats. De façon similaire, cela facilite la communication entre le chef de la direction et le président du conseil d’administration, afin de maîtriser leurs doubles rôles.

Johanne guide ses clients, chefs de la direction, dans le contrôle de leurs attitudes et du maintien de leur sang-froid quand ils sont confrontés au stress et à la pression associés à la gestion du comité de direction. Et de même pour les cadres supérieurs. b) Retraites stratégiques des membres du conseil d’administration et du comité de direction, dans le but de s’aligner sur les stratégies (sessions de planification stratégique)

Ces sessions mettent l’accent sur l’alignement des membres du Trio pivot du leadershipTM — PLT (conseil d’administration, chef de la direction, comité de direction) aux stratégies à adopter aux différents stades de croissance de l’entreprise, aussi bien que lorsqu’il y a des changements dans la composition du conseil d’administration ou de l’équipe des hauts dirigeants.

Ces sessions, ayant un impact puissant, sont conduites avec tous les membres ou avec quelques membres sélectionnés de l’équipe de la haute direction dans le but de s’aligner sur les stratégies d’entreprise, d’améliorer la dynamique entre tous les membres et d’augmenter leur rendement. Les participants apprennent à collaborer avec plus d’efficacité, à échanger avec leurs pairs et à établir une meilleure communication.

c) Formations intensives pour cadres

Ces formations sont organisées avec tous les cadres supérieurs, l’idée étant de mobiliser les gestionnaires des différents départements, des divisions et des filiales pour coopérer et comprendre la stratégie de l’offre de produits et les priorités de chaque équipe, puis de développer une stratégie pour une planification opérationnelle harmonisée.

d) Évaluation du rendement et de l’efficacité des administrateurs, des chefs de la direction et de l’équipe de la haute direction

Cette plongée acrobatique à 360 degrés est une analyse approfondie à l’intention des membres du conseil d’administration, des chefs de la direction et des cadres supérieurs. Cette session vous permet de prendre du recul, de réfléchir et d’évaluer franchement et clairement comment ce processus fonctionne à l’intérieur du PLT.

Évaluation du rendement et de l’efficacité de la direction du conseil d’administration

Bien que les conseils d’entreprises publiques aient le devoir d’évaluer régulièrement leur rendement, tout type de conseils d’administration devrait se soumettre à une évaluation du rendement et de l’efficacité du conseil d’administration. Johanne a développé sa propre méthodologie pour l’évaluation de ces conseils d’administration de sociétés publiques, de sociétés privées et d’organismes à but non lucratif, qui a été éprouvée et validée par chaque client. Cette évaluation comprend quatre parties, et pour la faire, Johanne rencontre individuellement chaque membre du conseil d’administration. Les quatre parties comprennent :

e) Intégration du conseil d’administration à la suite d’une acquisition ou d’une fusion d’entreprises

Cette puissante session de formation intègre, après la procédure d’acquisition et de fusion, les membres du conseil d’administration à un conseil d’administration expérimenté dans le secteur des fusions-acquisitions. Cela constitue une excellente opportunité, pour tous les membres du conseil d’administration, de se connaître avant de se réunir pour leur première réunion officielle. De telles sessions devraient être la règle pour tous les conseils d’administration impliqués dans les processus d’acquisition et de fusion d’entreprises.

f) Retraites « montez à bord et tissez des liens »

Ces sessions, sous forme de retraites, sont conçues pour faciliter l’accueil et l’intégration d’un nouveau membre au PLT et concrétise un changement de dirigeant quand il y a :

  1. Un nouveau chef de la direction,
  2. Un nouveau président du conseil d’administration,
  3. Un nouveau membre qui se joint au conseil d’administration,
  4. De nouveaux membres qui se joignent au conseil d’administration, à la suite d’une acquisition ou d’une fusion,
  5. De nouveaux cadres qui se joignent à l’équipe de la haute direction.

g) Facilitation du dialogue entre le président du conseil d’administration et l’équipe de la haute direction

Ces sessions sont conçues pour améliorer la dynamique entre le président du conseil d’administration et le chef de la direction, et elles facilitent un profond dialogue en toute transparence entre ces deux acteurs d’une importance majeure dans l’entreprise, renforçant ainsi leur relation et leur rendement.
